Artskoco est heureux de présenter « Méditations », l’exposition personnelle de Myung-Hee PARK. Depuis vingt-cinq ans, l’artiste coréenne travaille l’ottchil, la laque traditionnelle, couche après couche, et y fait apparaître la nacre en ponçant à la main. Au cœur de l’exposition, Mon univers (Big Bang) est né d’une méditation sur l’instant où, à partir du vide, la conscience s’éveille et l’univers entier se déploie.
L’exposition marque aussi la sortie de son livre « La nacre brille encore plus dans la laque obscure », publié par Artskoco en édition bilingue français-anglais.
Nous serons heureux de vous accueillir au vernissage, les 5 et 6 novembre à partir de 18h30, en présence de l’artiste.

Artskoco is delighted to present “Meditations”, a solo exhibition by Myung-Hee PARK. For twenty-five years, the Korean artist has worked with ottchil, traditional lacquer, layer after layer, bringing mother-of-pearl to light by sanding by hand. At the heart of the show, My Universe (Big Bang) was born from a meditation on the moment when, out of emptiness, awareness arises and the whole universe unfolds.
The exhibition also marks the launch of her book “Mother-of-Pearl Shines Even Brighter in Lacquer Darkness”, published by Artskoco in a bilingual French and English edition.

Artskoco는 박명희 작가의 개인전 〈명상(Méditations)〉을 선보입니다. 작가는 25년 동안 옻칠을 겹겹이 올리고, 손으로 갈아내어 나전의 빛을 드러내 왔습니다. 전시의 중심 작품 〈나의 우주 (Big Bang)〉는 텅 빈 자리에서 알아차림이 일어나며 온 우주가 펼쳐지는 순간에 대한 명상에서 태어났습니다.
이번 전시에서는 작가의 자서전 『나전은 칠흑 속에서 더욱 빛난다』의 프랑스어·영어판 출간도 함께 기념합니다.
11월 5일과 6일 오후 6시 30분, 작가와 함께하는 오프닝에 여러분을 초대합니다.
