Masters of Invention: Martin Rajna & Frank Peter Zimmermann

Where some stick to the status quo, others like to push boundaries. This concert introduces you to three great minds who made music history, each in their own way. In the 1930s, Béla Bartók and Paul Hindemith pioneered new soundscapes and harmonies. At the dawn of the 19th century, Ludwig van Beethoven’s First Symphony shocked his contemporaries and marked the beginning of the Romantic era.

The music: Béla Bartók: Musique pour cordes, percussion et célesta; Paul Hindemith: Violinkonzert; Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphonie N° 1
The artists: Luxembourg Philharmonic; Martin Rajna (conductor); Frank Peter Zimmermann (violin)
