Ce concert réunit un trio plutôt rare, le trombone, le cor et le piano. Avec le Concertino de Michael Haydn, frère cadet du plus connu Joseph, le trio commence en mélangeant douceur et virtuosité. Suivront deux belles oeuvres dans lesquelles les musiciens se présenteront en formation plus intime : les six miniatures du Cornucopia du compositeur anglais Thomas Dunhill pour cor et piano suivi de l'Aria et Polonaise du compositeur belge Joseph Jongen pour trombone et piano.
Re-réuni en trio, nous dégusterons une nouvelle oeuvre spécialement écrite pour cette occasion par le compositeur luxembourgeois Luc Rollinger. Le concert se terminera par la Suite for horn, trombone and piano du compositeur américain Bruce Stark, une des rares œuvres originales pour cette formation. Ses quatre mouvements très variables mélangent belles harmonies, danse, et rythmes.
