A new chapter. A new intensity. A tour that gets under your skin.
In 2027, Tarja returns to the heavy stage with full force. “Frisson Live 2027” marks the beginning of a new artistic chapter — powerful, dynamic, and emotionally charged.
Alongside the tour, Tarja will release her brand-new studio album — her first full album in a heavier musical direction in seven years. With renewed energy and artistic determination, she reconnects with the sonic intensity that has defined her career.
Seven years after her last full studio album in the heavier spectrum, Tarja steps back into the spotlight with a new level of intensity. The new tour represents a production built on strong contrasts: fragility and power, cinematic atmosphere and uncompromising metal energy.
This is not a retrospective.
This is forward motion.
“Frisson” describes that moment when music sends chills down your spine. When emotions hit unexpectedly. When energy rushes through your entire body.
That exact feeling lies at the heart of this tour.
Audiences can expect:
Powerful dynamic tension arcs — from intimate, fragile moments to explosive choruses. A setlist combining brand-new material with career-defining highlights.
A voice that made history
Tarja is regarded as one of the defining voices of the symphonic and heavy metal world. As a classically trained soprano, she merged operatic technique with metal, creating an entirely new sound that continues to influence generations of artists to this day.
Tarja first gained international recognition as the founding member and voice of Nightwish. Through iconic albums and worldwide tours, she helped shape an entire era of symphonic metal and laid the foundation for a truly extraordinary career.
Following her successful solo path, Tarja continuously evolved her artistic style, crossed genre boundaries, and established herself as one of the most charismatic and versatile artists in the scene.
Gold and platinum awards, sold-out tours, and a global fanbase further underline her exceptional status.
