Mon ami Debussy

Sun, Jan 17, 2027 at 4pm

About this event

«Music should humbly seek to please,»
said Claude Debussy. Childlike wonder, rays of light, time standing still and the endless awe that comes from contemplating water, the sun and the wind… In this new musical journey blending original compositions, repertoire and improvisation, Jean-François Zygel’s colourful piano interacts with the strings of the Quatuor Elmire. A lovely tribute to the composer whose 165th birthday will be celebrated in 2027.

The music: Œuvres de Debussy et Zygel
The artists: Quatuor Elmire; David Petrlik (violin); Yoan Brakha (violin); Hortense Fourrier (viola); Rémi Carlon (cello); Jean-François Zygel (piano, composition, musical improvisation)
