Michel Reis & Matthieu Bordenave: New Ballads for Coltrane

An intimate jazz concert in a chamber music hall revives the ballad repertoire from John Coltrane's classic album «Ballads», performed by a piano-and-saxophone duo formed for the occasion. Pianist Michel Reis and saxophonist Matthieu Bordenave emphasise attentive listening and the acoustic intimacy of the small hall. The programme runs 80 minutes without intermission and ties into the 2026 centennial of Coltrane's birth, with the duo framed as continuing pioneers of the jazz tradition. A single-evening concert experience rooted in classic jazz repertoire.
