Ceramic Workshop: Porcelain Jewelry

About this event

Porcelain at the Scale of a Jewel | Workshop with Cathy Deprez

Porcelain requires a lighter touch than traditional clay. In this focused three-hour session, Belgian ceramist Cathy Deprez will guide you through the delicate art of working with fine porcelain to craft lightweight, elegant, contemporary jewelry, from precise initial shaping to high-fire finishing.

At a small scale, every single gesture shows in the finished piece. Cathy teaches you how to master this subtle material in Subtile's warm, inspiring gallery space, set right in the middle of a rotating art exhibition. Open to all levels (adults and teens from 12 years old), it offers the perfect balance of technical craft and creative exploration.

Tip: This workshop runs on the same Saturday as Subtile's Ceramic Tiles workshop (14:00 – 16:30). You are welcome to sign up for both and make a full creative day of it!
