Beginners Improv 6week course

Tue, Oct 27, 2026 at 7pm

About this event

Improv is a dynamic and energising way to spark creativity, build confidence, and strengthen communication skills that can help with public speaking, acting, or simply navigating everyday interactions with more ease and presence. This course offers a practical and enjoyable introduction to the fundamentals of improvisation in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Each weekly session focuses on a different improv skill, enabling us to delve into specific areas and reflect on our instinctive approaches. These skills extend far beyond improv, with many past students reporting improved confidence in social, professional, and day-to-day interactions. After a busy day, we will come together to be spontaneous, creative, and laugh our way through learning – no prior experience necessary! Plus, you'll form connections with fellow classmates and make new friends along the way.

Sharpen your foundations in improv skills such as:

Active listening
Teamwork and collaboration
Being present
Embracing mistakes

Spaces are limited!

Course dates: Tuesdays 7-9pm on Oct 27, Nov 10, 17, 24, Dec 1, Dec 8 (there is no class on Nov 3rd). Showcase: Wednesday Dec 9
